The Shakers used step stools similar to this, with its tall handle, to reach shelves and high drawers. The handle on the back allows easy movement without bending over and helps steady you while reaching into kitchen cabinets.

When not in use it can display a favorite plant or be hung from one of our peg racks.

It also makes a fantastic pouting chair or naughty chair for misbehaving children and grandchildren; which if you have ever watched the Nanny on TV you know how effective this can be.

Double Door Medicine Cabinets

In addition to our regular size and our smaller size Shaker style recessed or surface mounted medicine cabinets we now offer wider Double Door Medicine Cabinets. Like the others, this cabinet can also be ordered recessed or surface mounted.

Our two door recessed medicine cabinets (shown at left in red oak) come in your choice of 4″ or 6″ deep. We also have a combo 6″ deep cabinet which only needs a 4″ deep wall cavity because the other 2″ remain on the outside of the wall.

The outside dimensions of our standard double door recessed cabinets are 32″ wide x 28″ high. A rough opening of 30″ wide x 26″ high is needed. This fits between studs spaced 16″ on center.

Double Height Apron, Open Style Vanity

This new addition to our very popular line of bathroom vanities has quickly become a hit all across the U.S. and Canada. It allows you to have that open furniture look while still being able to have drawer storage in a small space.

The photo is of a 38″ double height apron, open style white oak vanity with a slat shelf, stained with a Nutmeg finish. The two bottom drawers are functional. The custom top drawers flip down to reveal a hidden shelf. The medicine cabinet is our recessed combo 6″ deep cabinet which only needs a 4″ deep wall cavity because the other 2″ remain on the outside of the wall. This one also has the optional apothecary drawers.

This particular vanity now graces a home in Berkeley, CA.
